Beginning in 2002, the Committee inaugurated its acclaimed Vision Awards to recognize excellence by others in achieving the Committee’s vision. What (or who) is recognized? – local activism (by an individual or group of citizens), projects (in concept or fully realized), notable achievements by elected officials, neighborhood or nonprofit organizations, professional associations, private firms, academic programs, and/ or units of local and federal government.

To date, over 100 awards have been given to recognize excellence in such areas of interest as:

  • Environmental Protection
  • Historic Preservation
  • Housing
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Planning
  • Transportation
  • Zoning
