The Committee of 100 will hold its 15th bi-annual Vision Awards gala on October 17 in downtown Washington. Established in 2001, Vision Awards celebrate high achievement in responsible planning, land use, design, historic preservation, and enhancement of the quality of life in our Nation’s Capital. The awards recognize local citizens, private and public sector organizations, and federal and local officials and programs that have contributed to the protection and enhancement of our city’s unique sense of place and character.
Recently celebrating its 100th anniversary, the Committee has been a leader and watchdog in preserving neighborhood quality of life throughout the city, guarding the city’s unique and recognizable skyline, defending the character of the Federal estate, supporting affordable housing, and resisting unrestrained and destructive development.
The featured speaker will be renowned Washington Post columnist Colbert I. King.
The event is free, but the Committee requests your registering so that we can plan better for the event.
