Responses of Candidate Christina Henderson, Independent

Washington, D.C., September 26, 2024 — To help DC voters better understand the positions of candidates running this year for the various DC Council offices, the Committee of 100 sent questionnaires to the candidates. The Committee of 100 previously posted the responses we received from those who ran in the June Democratic primary for the Member-At-Large seat, and for Council for Wards 4 and 7 and can be found below.

In August, we sent questionnaires to the candidates who filed petitions for the Independent Member-At-Large seat. After withdrawals and protests, only one candidate remains on the ballet – Christina Henderson, the incumbent. Ms. Henderson responded to the Committee of 100 questionnaire. The full set of her responses can be found in the document below. Of note, are the responses on the Height Act, downtown recovery, historic preservation, and use of the RFK stadium site.
