Peace Corps Commemorative Park

Peace Corps Commemorative Park

The Peace Corps Commemorative Park, to be located in a small triangular park bounded by Louisiana Avenue, C Street and First Street, NW, just west of the Capitol grounds, is to commemorate the formation of the Peace Corps in 1961, and the work of the Peace Corps over the past 60 years and continuing on into the future. The Committee of 100 on the Federal City is concerned with how visitors will understand the purpose of the Peace Corps when they visit the park.
